"Be a good housewife!" they say...

"The good housewife?

You keep your home clean and tidy.

Why shouldn`t your feelings, your thoughts, your soul also be cleansed and taken care of regularly? You are much closer to them than to your home."

The other day I slept over at a friends house.

In the morning I sat down on her couch, with my headphones on, listening to one of my favorite meditations.

That is always one of the first things that I do in the morning: I meditate, I practice Yoga, I read/listen to something inspiring or I write.

The first thing I do in the morning is: I take care of myself, I organize my thoughts, I brighten my spirit, I stretch my body. This is the home I live in and I want it to be organized.

As I sat on the couch I watched my friend organizing the kitchen. We cooked the night before and cooked again and got caught up with talking, that the kitchen was a little unorganized. Not to bad though.

But the first thing that she did was to clean up the house.

I know a lot of women do that in the morning, or as a last thing at night - especially greek woman, I d say 98% of them do that.

It is hammered into us, that we need to be good house wifes.

Now dear fellow human who is reading this post:

Have you ever thought about, that your body and your mind and your soul is also your house? It is carrying you around 24/7 and doing for you everything that you decide to do.

Does this house not deserved to be cleaned? To be organized? to be taken care of?

Why not?

How can it be logical, to clean first your kitchen before you organize your thoughts, before you stretch your body and before you feed your soul?

In the end, you do what is right to you. It is your life. I am just sharing my thoughts here.

You follow your own unique path!
